One of the first places in our bodies that indicate
we are ageing in the skin and around the eyes

One of the first places in our bodies that indicate we are ageing is the skin around the eyes. As we get older, the tone and shape of our eyelids begin to change in that they loosen and sag. This includes droopy eyelids and puffy bags, which are due to the accumulation of excess fat around the eye sockets.

People with droopy eyelids and puffy bags typically have a tired appearance and may experience reduced vision. Even worse, it could cause low self-confidence. If you have droopy eyelids and would like to have them fixed so you can resume life with full confidence, the Ivanchuk Plastic Surgery Clinic offers a popular procedure known as blepharoplasty to help.

What is Blepharoplasty?

Blepharoplasty is a cosmetic eye surgery designed to improve the appearance of the eyes. The goal of the procedure is to remove excess skin (old and flabby) and fat deposits in the visual organs that cause fine lines, wrinkles, and sagging.

Also known as eyelid plastic surgery and eyelid lift, blepharoplasty is a popular facial procedure that allows you to rejuvenate your face and improve your appearance significantly. As the muscles around your eyes are tightened, patients experience attain a refreshed and enhanced look.

How does it work?

Blepharoplasty is a safe procedure that can be performed in around 1-2 hours. When you arrive at our facility, anaesthesia will be applied to numb the target area, so you don't feel discomfort and pain while the surgery is going on.

The blepharoplasty plastic surgeon will make tiny cuts (incisions) into your eye lids' natural creases or folds. At this point, the loose skin and extra fat issues are extracted while the eyelid muscles are tightened. When this is done, the incisions are closed with stitches.

Who is it for?

You are a candidate for eye blepharoplasty if you have any of the following:

  • The presence of 'fat bags' (fat deposits) in the eye area
  • Overhang of the skin of the upper and lower eyelid
  • Lowering the corners of the eyes
  • Desire to change the shape and incision of the eyes
Benefits of Ostoplasty
  • Produces firm, smoother skin with a more youthful appearance
  • Restores impaired vision
  • Reduced eye bag
  • Minimal scarring

Quick Info

Upper Blepharoplasty

It is a surgical procedure designed to correct eyelid defects, remove excess skin, fat or muscle tissue and tighten the muscles of the upper eye area. The procedure was originally developed as an alternative to cosmetic surgery on your lower eyelids. More often than not, it removes excess skin under your eyes that can age you prematurely and make you look tired even when you’re not.

Lower Blepharoplasty

It is a surgery that removes all or part of the fatty tissue that hangs below your eye, known as ptosis. The lower lid will have a more youthful appearance with less drooping after surgery. It also lifts and creates more space in the eye socket. Lower eye blepharoplasty could be done on both upper and lower lids, depending on your goal.

Cleopatra’s Look

Cleopatra’s Look is a procedure that combines three cosmetic procedures to create a natural, youthful, and refreshed appearance. The procedure starts with a skin tightening treatment to remove excess fat and muscle as well as any wrinkles or blemishes on the face. Next, the surgeon will inject botox into the forehead and frown lines to reduce these areas of tension. Finally, the surgeon will perform an upper eye blepharoplasty surgery to address drooping eyelids that can cause you to look tired or older than you are.

Brows-lift

Brow-lift provides a non-invasive, safe way for younger-looking eyes and a more youthful appearance all around your face by lifting sagging eyebrows permanently without invasive surgeries or botox injections without any noticeable scars at a reasonable cost.
